Lazy Man's Pot Roast

Ingredients
- 3 pounds chuck roast
- 1 1/2 onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (16-ounce) stewed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons oil
- coarsely ground pepper, to taste
- flour to cover the roast
- salt, to taste
- 8 ounces water
Instructions

Saute onion and garlic with oil in pot until transparent.

Season the roast with salt and pepper and then dredge (lightly) in flour.

Brown the roast in the pot (on top of the onions and garlic) on both sides for about 10 minutes.

Transfer roast to the slow cooker, add the stewed tomatoes, water and Worcestershire sauce.

Cook on setting 4 (of 5) for about 5 hours.
- When done, puree the remaining tomatoes, juices and onions. Return to pan and add thickener for gravy.
