- 1/2 can jellied cranberry
- 2 tablespoons country-style Dijon mustard (extra grainy)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 8 pounds spiral sliced ham
- For the sauce:
- 1/2 can jellied cranberry
- 2 tablespoons country-style Dijon mustard (extra grainy)
- reserved crushed pineapple

Instructions

Place ham cut side down in the crock of slow cooker.

Combine reserved pineapple fruit, 1/2 can jellied cranberry, and mustard. Chill this mixture while ham cooks.

In a bowl, combine pineapple juice, 1/2 can cranberry, and mustard. Spread over the ham. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Cook on low for 4 -6 hours.

Before serving, spread the refrigerated mixture from before over the ham.

My mother-in-law cooks ham in the crock pot. I don't know if she leaves it in too long or at too high of a setting, but I never cared for it. Seems overdone. I also don't like to sweeten it up. I just like the pure ham flavor. I can see this as a way to save on oven space, but that is it.

I never thought about using the crockpot.Our daughter made one for Xmas.I was asked to get it out.Didn't come out in one piece.Oh so tender and delicious

I love to do ham in the slow cooker, as it always turns out so tender and moist. There is no risk of it getting dried out. You can take it out, thinly slice it and set it back in to stay warm as your guests serve themselves. And during the holidays, I can use all the free oven space that I can for other things.
