This dessert is so easy to make, and with just a few ingredients you can have a happy summer dessert in no time at all. You could make it even easier and just use store bought whipped topping but I think it’s worth a little extra effort to make your own Homemade Whipped Cream. Traditionally, shortcake was made from a biscuit-like dough, split and fille with sweetened strawberries and cream. This version uses Bisquick, a pre-mixed baking mix, cuts down on prep time and saves on the number of ingredients and steps, leaving you with more time to actually enjoy dessert.
