Blueberry Pie with Lemon
"I am sure that every family has its own blueberry pie recipe. We are no exception to that. To make the flavour a bit different, I have made a slight change and added some lemon zest to the crust. It is not a huge thing to do but it makes a big difference, like all the little things that bring change to familiar dishes when you start to think creatively. Also, there is one other thing I really like to do when baking: instead of using a big, normal dish, I bake the pies, casseroles, brownies or any other dessert in two or three smaller dishes. That's how I get more crust to share with my son, and there is always a separate dish of food left for the office brunch, lunch or coffee break. Also, my neighbours are open to sharing and we surprise each other now and then… So, what you see are two little blueberry pies. The rounded dishes are 6 and 7 inches in diameter respectively. Let's start baking!"

Wow!! That pie is mouthwatering! It looks so good its intimidating to make. Am trying my hand at pie baking and am always looking for something to mask the eggs smell in my pastries. Most of them end up tasting like lemon anyways so it can't hurt to try this one.

This pie looks really nice, I'm not so sure if I made it, it would turn out quite so professional looking but it's definitely worth a try. I would of never in a million years have thought about putting blueberry and lemon together but I love trying new things and playing around with flavours, this is definitely one for me to try.

These little blueberry pies look adorable and I love the pie plate size! I read through the directions and I couldn't believe that sour cream was listed as an ingredient in the crust. Has anyone else used that in the crust and how does it come out? I'm intrigued by it! I like the idea of smaller pies for sharing.
