Still following up on these donuts! I have learned that if I bake the donuts for half to three quarters of the time and then quickly fry them, the texture more closely resembles donuts than cake and the flavor is a lot better. Any other suggestions?!

Has anyone made these? The texture seems to resemble a chocolate cake based on the ingredient list and the photo with the recipe. I have a donut pan and have made baked donuts before they always turn out dry and too cakey! Any suggestions for me on how to improve the texture and get that donut crunch/taste without deep frying the donuts?
