Do you think I could make these doughnuts with whole wheat flour? I was wondering about using a sweetener instead of the sugar too. Would the recipe still turn out good? I want to make these doughnuts because they are apple cider flavored. This is such a great fall dessert or breakfast item because no one will expect the doughnut to taste like apple cider. I bet I can fool a ton of friends with these treats.
