"I love the fresh taste of lemon at any time of the year. Lemon pie filling bars I have made so many times but I had never made a Lemon Chess Pie before. To be honest, I hadn’t even heard of it until I was watching the Food Network and a chef was making lemon chess tarts which he said was his take on Lemon Chess Pie. It intrigued me right away to come up with a recipe for this dessert. The first time we made it there was too much pie dough and custard for a standard 9-inch pie so we went back to the drawing board with it. "
