Strawberry and Champagne Cake Balls

These tasty pink champagne cake balls are quick to create and perfect for bridal showers and other parties.

This pretty in pink treat is as sweet as it is adorable. Our pink champagne balls are created by making a simple cake pop recipe and combining it with champagne (yum!). The pink hue from in these cake pops comes from using a strawberry cake mix, allowing you to skip using food coloring to achieve the charming accent.

Note: These champagne cake balls can easily be transformed into champagne cake pops, just add a cake pop stick once you're done.

From the Chef: Is there any better New Year's Eve combination than cake mix and champagne? These cute pink treats are a fun and decorative addition to your party spread.

Ingredients

  • 1 (15.2-ounce) box strawberry cake mix
  • 1 1/4 cup champagne
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 (16-ounce) container white cake frosting
  • 1 1/2 pound white chocolate morsels

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly coat a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, champagne, oil, and eggs until smooth. Pour the batter into the baking dish. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely.

  3. Crumble the cake into a large bowl. Add the frosting to the cake crumbs and mix until evenly combined. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.

  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Form small round balls by rolling a rounded tablespoon's worth of mixture between your palms and place on the baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for 1 hour.

  5. Place the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave until melted and smooth, stirring at 30-second intervals. Remove the balls from the freezer and lightly drizzle with the melted chocolate. Return the balls to the baking tray to allow the chocolate to harden. Serve.
