    Mackerel Cakes

    Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 pound fresh or frozen mackerel fillets withot skin
    • 1 small chopped onion
    • 1 level tablespoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
    • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
    • 1 small boiled potato
    • 1 tablespoon potato starch

    Instructions

    Cut the fillets in smaller pieces, and blend all in a food processor. Fry over moderate heat in a teflon frying pan. Serve with boiled potatoes and carrots, and a green salad or cucumber salad made from thinly sliced cucumber in slightly diluted, sweetened vinegar with a pinch of salt and black ground pepper.
