Pan Fried Shrimp Recipe

Skip the boring chicken and replace it with a protein-packed shrimp. Shrimp is extremely versatile and they cook very quickly, making it a perfect choice for busy weeknights. Since shrimp are quick to cook, you just need to cook them for 1 minute per batch. Cooking them too long will result in a rubbery texture."
NotesYou can also marinate the shrimp with some citrus such as grapefruit, lime, or lemon. Just marinate the deveined shrimp for 3-4 minutes.

Ingredients
- 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup plain dry bread crumbs
- 1 cup Panko crumbs
- 1 cup flour
- 12 ounces vegetable oil for frying
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Sprinkle shrimp with cajun seasoning.

Place 3/4 cup flour in a shallow bowl.

In a second shallow bowl, whisk eggs together with 1 tablespoon of water.

Combine bread crumbs, panko crumbs, and flour on a third bowl.

Coat shrimp in flour, dip in egg, and then press into bread crumb mixture, thoroughly coating them.

Pour 1 inch of oil in a Dutch oven or skillet with high sides. Heat until oil sizzles when you drop a few bread crumbs in.

Fry shrimp in batches until golden brown.

Cook each batch for 1 minute.

Place them on a paper towel-lined plate.

Sprinkle shrimp lightly with salt and pepper when you take them out of the oil.

Serve with a delicious barbecue sauce or your choice of dipping sauce.
