zak! designs has been making our customers smile since we were founded in 1976. Headquartered in the beautiful city of Spokane, Washington, this dinnerware and drinkware company is always bringing something new to the table—our diverse collection includes creative solutions and groundbreaking designs that set trends and make mealtime special for people around the world.

No one had ever put iconic characters on dinnerware before Irv Zakheim brought up the idea. Encouraged by the popularity of the Zak Zany Zoo Oven Mitts, which appeared on the set of Seinfeld, he kept exploring ways to add a little joy to everyday activities. In 1988, Zakheim worked with Disney to spotlight the Chip ’n Dale Rescue Rangers on his products, and was granted two new movies the following year. One of them was The Little Mermaid—its merchandise saw undeniable success, serving as proof of concept and solidifying zak! designs as a leader in children’s dinnerware.

Of course, kids aren’t the only ones who can use a little mealtime fun, so we’re always looking for new ways to bring joy to the whole family.
