The Breville Thermal Pro Hard-Anodized Covered Saucepan is designed to outperform against all the competition cookware. The Hard-Anodized and Thermal Pro construction utilizes multiple materials to create a surface that is perfect for evenly heating food. The 3-quart size is ideal for sauces, oatmeal, reheating leftovers, and much more!
The hard-anodized construction of these pans is fantastic. It has a nice heft to it, neither too light nor really heavy like cast-iron cookware. It also heats evenly, a factor that is incredibly important, but overlooked when choosing cookware. This saucepan is oven safe up to 500 degrees F. This is higher than a lot of cookware on the market. It makes it simple to finish a sauce or soup recipe in the oven without ruining the pan and your meal.
I found the nonstick surface on these pans to be superior to many rivals. It is so durable that you can actually use metal utensils on it without risking damage to the coating. I used the pan to melt marshmallows for Rice Krispy treats and was amazed that none of the gooeyness stuck to the pan.
The handle of the pan is extremely sturdy and is shaped for easy gripping. On the end is a loop to hang the pan from a pot rack. The lid of this saucepan is made with the same quality care as the actual pan and handle. Just as I love the pan's handle, I also love the oversized handle on the lid because it makes lifting the lid simple, even with an oven mitt on.
I love that this pan is just as easy to clean as it is to use. You can put it right in the dishwasher, or simply rinse under hot water. I found the nonstick coating held up after many runs through the dishwasher. This is truly a pan that will serve your needs in the kitchen for decades to come.
