The Fagor Rapid Express Pressure Cooker is a sleek pressure cooker that is perfect for today's home cook. Its modern appearance and features make it clear this is not your mother's pressure cooker. If you want a new kitchen appliance that can cook a variety of foods in minimal time, then this is the one for you.
My favorite thing about this pressure cooker is how fast it can cook things. As I flipped through the recipe booklet that comes with the appliance, I was amazed to see all of the short cooking times. Pot roast in 30 minutes, green bean casserole in 3 minutes, risotto in 7 minutes. These numbers are incredible!
I decided to make Risotto with Peas using this pressure cooker. The recipe looked easy enough, and the whole process ended up being easy, too. I sauteed the onions right in the pressure cooker, added the other ingredients, and let it cook for 10 minutes on medium. The texture was spot on. It looked and tasted like the risotto I make the "regular" way, but it took much less time. In today's busy world, that is a HUGE advantage.
I'll admit, I was a bit scared to try out this pressure cooker. I had never used one before, and the image of it blowing up kept running through my mind. Fagor has addressed this fear by adding effective safety features. The pressure cooker was designed to not open under pressure. If there is still pressure inside and you try to unlock it, you won't be able to. This is a huge relief, because even if it's your first time using it and you're still unsure of what exactly to do, you won't be able to mess it up.
