This sounds like a mix between a donut and a pie! This sounds like the perfect dessert if you can't choose between the two.

I made a batch of these Fried Apple Pie Bites for the family to enjoy yesterday while we watched the Daytona 500. They were absolutely a great success. The recipe may seem lengthy or tricky, but trust me it is not. It is well written and easy to follow and the result is well worth it. I am the worst at fried pastries, so if I can do it, so can you.

These are definitely quick and easy! Prepared pie crusts or even refrigerated crescent rolls crisp up well when fried. To make this a tiny bit healthier, try to make your own filling using some fresh apples and a mix of spices. If not, the apple pie filling works well and is very simple to use!
