Tasty Teriyaki Baked Ribs
"Everyone will love these easy baked ribs for their tender and juicy meat! A perfect dinner idea for your friends and family at a weekend gathering. An easy pork recipe that you can prepare ahead of time and serve with a delicious homemade teriyaki sauce. You can infuse European flavors such as rosemary, oregano, and sage in this dish. They balance out the tanginess and acidity of the grapefruit in the teriyaki sauce. Star anise, cardamom pods, and even a good heap of ground coriander will add an exciting flavor to the teriyaki sauce "

Ingredients
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup Chinese five-spice powder
- 1 rack pork spareribs
- 2 tbsp white sesame seeds
- 1 oz Cilantro leaves (garnish)
- 1 oz Green onion (garnish)
- 1 cup soy sauce (Teriyaki Glaze)
- 1 cup fresh grapefruit juice (Teriyaki Glaze)
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce (Teriyaki Glaze)
- 3 tbsp ketchup (Teriyaki Glaze)
- 3 tbsp rice vinegar (Teriyaki Glaze)
- 2 garlic cloves (Teriyaki Glaze)
- 1/2 oz fresh ginger (Teriyaki Glaze)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

Mix the salt and pepper in a small bowl with the five-spice powder.

Rub the mixture all over the ribs and slow roast the ribs in the oven for 1 hour.

While the ribs are roasting, make the teriyaki glaze.

In a pot, combine the soy sauce, grapefruit juice, hoisin sauce, ketchup, rice wine vinegar, garlic, and ginger over medium heat.

Bring to a slow simmer and cook, stirring, until thickened, about 20 minutes.

In the last 15 minutes of cooking the ribs, baste the ribs with the Teriyaki Glaze.

Pile them on a platter, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped cilantro.
