La Preferida Chorizo Torta
Make a mouthwatering sandwich with this recipe from our friends at La Preferida. The Chorizo Torta is a surprisingly simple sandwich recipe to make using just a handful of easy-to-find ingredients. Grab some torta bread from your supermarket or Mexican bakery, along with some chorizo sausage, La Preferida Refried Beans, La Preferida Jalapeño Nacho Slices (choose from Mild, Medium, or Hot Jalapeno Slices based on your personal preference), and Swiss cheese. Finish off with your favorite sandwich toppers (lettuce, onion, avocado, etc.), and you're all set!

Ingredients
- 2 torta breads (Mexican supermarket or bakery)
- 1 cup La Preferida Refried Beans with Chipotle
- 1 package chorizo
- 4 La Preferida Jalapeño Nacho Slices (Mild, Med., or Hot)
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 green tomatillo, sliced
- 1/2 small red onion, sliced
- lettuce, shredded finely, thickness of a match
- 1/2 avocado, sliced
Method

In a skillet, prepare the chorizo according to package directions. Place on a paper towel to absorb some of the excess oil.

In a small pot, heat the refried beans, and set to the side, covered to keep warm.

Slice the bread horizontally and toast until lightly brown and crisp. Spread mayonnaise on bread and top with refried beans. Then, layer with cheese, chorizo, tomatillo, onions, jalapenos, avocado and lettuce. Top with another slice of bread.
