I made this recipe with half and half, since I already had it in the fridge for my morning coffee, and it turned out just fine. I love the extra pop of chicken flavor in this sauce, and it is much fresher tasting than the stuff in the jar, which is mostly oil and water. Adding the broccoli right to the boiling pasta is such a great time - saving tip!

My family loves to order the chicken, ziti, broccoli from an area restaurant as take out. I love it too but it's definitely on the heavy side. I think this recipe with the reduced amount of cream in it will be delicious and certainly have enough cream to feel like you're eating the fully loaded version. I wonder if it could even be made with half and half instead? Has anyone given that a try?
