Spaghetti Mushroom with Cream Sauce
This Spaghetti Mushroom with Cream Sauce is the perfect way to jazz up your average spaghetti dish. Serve it alongside some chicken or other main dish, or simply eat alone as a vegetarian dish. It's one of the best easy spaghetti recipes that goes beyond simply adding some red sauce.

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups fresh cream
- pinch nutmeg powder
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 150 grams button mushrooms (about 5.5-ounces)
- 10 milliliters white wine (optional)
- 200 grams spaghetti (about 7-ounces)
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 1 tablespoon salt
Instructions
To make Cream Sauce:
- Heat oil in a pan, add onion and saute till it turns translucent.
- Add the fresh cream, nutmeg powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt and mix again.
- Reduce the cream in a slow flame into a sauce like consistency.
- Drain and separate the onion from the cream.
- Cream sauce is ready, keep it aside.
To make the spaghetti:
- Fill water in a heavy bottom pan so that the spaghetti dips completely into it.
- Add the tablespoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of oil and bring the water to a boil.
- Add the spaghetti in it and cook for about 8 to 9 minutes or as per the instruction give on the packet.
- Once the spaghetti cooks, strain the water and add the other 1 teaspoon of oil so that they do not stick to one another.
To make Spaghetti Mushroom Cream Sauce:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan, the chopped onion, mushrooms, remaining salt and saute till the mushrooms are cooked.
- Add a little white wine (optional).
- Add the reduced cream sauce (see above directions) and mix well so that the mushroom flavor mixes with the cream.
- Add the boiled Spaghetti and mix well.
