Over the years we've managed to accumulate a couple of pizza stones which I think we've used a total of once or twice. This recipe, along with the fact it's definitely grilling season right now, makes me want to dig them out and give this a try. We've only had Margherita pizzas a few times and enjoyed them, and this is something I definitely want to add to our grilling repertoire.

I own a pizza stone which I believe was from Pampered Chef. I used it when I first got it but haven't used it now in years. Would anyone know how to properly use a pizza stone, for instance, does it need to be preheated? Also, how do you clean it? I'd love to try out this recipe on the stone and get back into making things on it. This recipe looks like a crowd pleaser!

I have a pizza stone which I love to use (although mine isn't soapstone) but I've never tried making margherita pizza (even though it's one of our favourites!) I love that everything in the recipe is made from scratch although you could use store bought pizza dough and sauce to speed things up fr a quick and easy weeknight dinner. And grilling the pizzas on the BBQ is a great way to cook pizzas without heating up the whole house, especially in the summer!
