Bacon And Egg Sandwich
"Bacon and Egg Sandwich is a grilled sandwich with cheese, crispy and juicy bacon, sunny side up, and mayo. Great for on-the-go breakfast meals, or packed lunches and snacks for you or your kids! Bacon and Egg, is like salt and pepper; they are meant for each other, and one isn’t great enough without the other. It’s the classic American breakfast Filipinos have adapted to, and loved so much. Well, who doesn’t love bacon, anyway!"
NotesYou can also cut it into quarters, and place it in your kid’s lunch box together with some pasta, then add some other snacks that will go with the sandwich. Your little one will definitely look forward to the meal!

Ingredients
- 1 Large Egg
- 3 strips of bacon
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of cheese
- Mayo
- Salt
- Ground black pepper
- Butter
- Cooking oil
-
Cook the bacon and egg. Heat up a frying pan under medium low heat, and add 1 tbsp of cooking oil. Place the bacon strips on the pan. Cook until they render the fat and shrink in size. That should only take 3 minutes. We want crispy and juicy bacon strips. Take them out and set them aside. You can cut each strip into half if you have smaller sliced bread. Using the same frying pan, cook the egg according to your preferred doneness. The bacon flavor will go the cooked egg, which will add more flavor to the sandwich. Season with salt and pepper, then set aside.
-
Assemble the bacon and egg sandwich. Place the sliced bread in a flat surface. Add the slices of cheese on the bread, then the sunny side up egg, then the cooked bacon strips, and squeeze some of your favorite mayo. Cover with the other sliced bread.
-
Grill the Bacon and Egg Sandwich. Heat up a clean pan under low fire, and spread a generous amount of butter. Place the sandwich gently into the pan. Using a flat spatula, press the sandwich gently. Cook one side of the sandwich for 2 minutes, or until it creates a golden-brown crust at the bottom. Spread another generous layer of butter on the pan, and cook the other side of the sandwich for another 2 minutes or until it creates the golden-brown crust.
-
Serve! Once you’ve achieved the desired crust, place the sandwich on a flat surface, and cut it into half. Serve and enjoy while hot!
