Pork Chops with Apples
Ingredients
- vegetable cooking spray
- 4 4-ounce lean, boned center-cut loin pork chops, (1/4 inch thick)
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 teaspoon chicken-flavored bouillon granules
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3 medium Rome apples, peeled and sliced
Instructions
Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium-high heat until hot. Add pork chops and onion. Cook chops 6 minutes on each side or until browned. Combine water, bouillon granules, cinnamon, and pepper; stir well. Add to pork mixture, and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 to 25 minutes. Add apple slices; cover and simmer 15 additional minutes or until apple is tender. Serve immediately.
