    Homemade Red Chow chow

    Ingredients

    • 1 large cabbage
    • 1 large whole celery
    • 2 pounds onions (and some!)
    • 2 28-oz cans tomatoes
    • 2 14-oz cans tomato sauce
    • 1 large can tomato paste
    • 2 14-oz cans tomato juice
    • 1 litre white vinegar
    • 1 Kg sugar
    • salt

    Instructions

    Mix tomato juice and vinegar. Chop cabbage, celery and onions, fine. Cook vegetables with juice in pressure cooker in as many times as necessary for 12 minutes. (Can be done in normal pot.) Pour all together in a large pot with all ingrdients and boil, stirring once in a while, until thick enough.
