Old Fashioned Mustard
Ingredients
- 1 gallon cider vinegar
- 1 c dry mustard
- 1 c sugar
- 1/2 c salt
- 1 tsp alum
- 15 pounds tiny cucumbers
Instructions
Mix cider vinegar with rest of ingredients, except cucumbers. Soak and wash cucumbers in cold water. Pat dry and pack them very thightly in any kind of jar, can even be placed in a crock. Cover cucumbers with vinegar mixture. Place lids on and store in cool dark place.
