    Hungarian Chicken Paprika

    Ingredients

    • 3 1/2 - 4 lb frying chicken, cut in serving pieces
    • 2 large onions, chopped
    • 1 green pepper, chopped
    • 1 1/2 Tbsp Hungarian paprika
    • salt and pepper
    • 4 med potatoes, cut as for French frying
    • 1 cup sour cream (optional)
    • 4 pieces of bacon, sliced

    Instructions

    Soak lid of clay baker Put bacon, onions and green pepper into the clay baker. Add salted and peppered chicken pieces, sprinkle with paprika. Cover and bake at 425 F for 20 min. Add potatoes and bake for another 60 minutes. Remove clay baker. from oven, add sour cream, cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Serve with crusty French bread.
