Blender Popovers
Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 3 Tbsp melted butter, margarine or oil
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 garlic cloves smashed (optional)
- 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
Instructions
Have all ingredients at room temperature. Heat oven to 425F, In blender, add eggs, shortening, milk, salt, garlic and lastly flour. Blend all well. Consistency should be like heavy cream. Grease well muffin tins or popover tins. Heat empty tins in oven a few minutes. Remove tins from oven and fill cups 3/4 full. Return to oven and bake popovers 20 to 30 minutes on middle oven shelf. Popovers should be puffed and golden. Batter is enough for 6 to 9 popovers. Note: serve immediately as all popovers will deflate when cooling. Timing is important when you serve these.
