Amish Copycat KFC Chicken
"While the Amish are celebrated for their sustainable and simple lifestyle, they aren't completely shielded from pop culture. They see Colonel Sanders' face on KFC signs when they head into town. And sometimes, swinging through the drive-thru to get a bucket of chicken for the family is a treat, even for the Amish. If you have a large family, as many Amish do, not having to do the cooking for an evening is a nice break. But many times a stop by KFC isn't practical, but the KFC taste is still craved. This is how many Amish cooks have become creative "copycats." They want their favorite restaurant food on their time and terms. One great quality about this recipe is you don't need a deep fryer. A trusty skillet will do the trick. Many Amish cooks use a heavy cast iron skillet, but you can use any kind of skillet that you have on hand. This recipe delivers a delicious, finger-lickin' good copycat experience: moist with just the perfect seasoning. It doesn't take long to whip up. Ensure all the seasonings are perfectly combined so your chicken will be a super copycat experience!"
