We have a Steak n Shake about 45 minutes away, and we always try to stop in when we're in the area, especially to get one of their yummy shakes. Their burgers are wonderful and the Frisco Melt is a favorite of mine. I almost always put onions on my burgers and I'd definitely put the caramelized ones on mine. I love the Burger King zesty sauce and I'll have to try BeckySue's suggestion of adding some horseradish to the Frisco sauce.

I love the Frisco Melt at Steak N Shake! I will make this soon. I just have to pick up the salad dressings. I don't even know what Russian dressing is. I would love this sandwich with some curly fries and baked beans. I won't use onions in my recipe because I would just pick them off the sandwich!

I just thought it was ketchup and mayo mixed. lol So it's thousand island and Russian dressing! I'll be making this as a dipping sauce for onion rings. If you throw in some zippy horseradish, I wonder if it would be like Burger King's zesty sauce.
