Mimosa
"Mimosa salad is a festive, very beautiful, delicate, easy, and quick prepared salad. This colorful and healthy salad got its name because of its similarity to a spring yellow and fragrant "Mimosa" flower. People start to associate salad with "mimosa" flowers because its last layer consists of chopped boiled egg yolks which remind little yellow blossoms of mimosa. Many chefs offer different tasteful recipes for a "mimosa", but the main ingredients of the classic recipe are cheese, eggs, fish, onion, greens, and mayonnaise. You have to be very careful when making this salad to avoid mixing the ingredients. Mimosa has the most impressive appearance when served in glass bowls, giving the opportunity to view each layer. Ingredients 2 large or 3 medium potatoes 2 large carrots 4 large or 5 medium eggs 400g canned fish (red salmon or tuna) 100g cheese 1 small white onion green onion - 5 grains 250g mix of sour cream and mayonnaise (or only mayonnaise) some fresh dill, optional salt to taste How to make 1. Wash potatoes and carrots, peel them, and put into a large pot with cold water. Boil the carrots and potatoes until they are ready (about 20 minutes) and don't forget to add salt. Remove from the water and cool completely. Then grate them into separate bowls and set aside. 2. Put eggs into a pot with cold water, hard boil them, cool and separate whites and yolks. Then finely chop or grate and set aside. After scraping each ingredient rinsing your grater. 3. Chop white and green onions into very thin slices. 4. Drain the liquid out of the fish and mash it with a fork removing large bones if necessary. 5. Prepare a deep serving glass bowl or make a circle of foil on your serving plate. Your first layer is grated potatoes. Try not to press it down to keep it more delicate. Spread some mayonnaise. Then make a layer of fish and spread some mayonnaise again. Then add chopped onion and grated cheese and spread more mayonnaise. Arrange egg whites and spread again mayonnaise. Next, make a layer of carrot, topped with mayonnaise of course, and finally, egg yolks. 6. Use dill to decorate the salad last layer; try to make it look like mimosa flowers! Bon Appetit! "
