Chex Mix
Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine
- 6 tbsp worstershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic salt
- 1 cup cocktail peanuts (or mixed nuts)
- 1 cup pretzels, broken up
- 2 cups Corn Chex
- 2 cups Rice Chex
- 2 cups Cheerios
Instructions
Preheat oven to 250. Melt margarine in a large roasting style pan. Stir in all of the worstershire sauce and salts. Add ingredients in this order: Add peanuts, stir thoroughly to coat. Add pretzels, stir to coat. Add Corn Chex, stir. Add Rice Chex, stir. Add Cheerios and stir. The least absorbent parts of the recipe always go in first, so they can be coated and take up some of the liquid so that the most absorbent ingredients (cheerios) don't get all mooshy. Bake for an hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Lay flat on towels over newspaper to dry.
