Sophisticated Pigs in a Blanket
"Don’t you love when inspiration strikes in the most mundane places? For me, it was a recent grocery store run. I happened upon some maple chicken breakfast sausages the other day and knew my family would love them. I had some leftover maple cream sauce from Chrissy Teigen‘s buttermilk biscuits, and I had an idea: sweet and savory pigs in a blanket. A sophisticated take on an all-time favorite for kids as well as adults? Count me in."
NotesChrissy Teigen's Maple Cream Sauce:
Ingredients: 6Tbsp heavy cream, 3Tbsp maple syrup, 1tsp kosher salt.
Instructions: In a small bowl, stir to combine the cream, maple syrup and salt.

Oh man, this really does look great. It's funny because I don't really like maple syrup, but I love classy maple glazes and sauces on meat. Pigs in a blanket are one of my favorite snacks and I like that this recipe has given them a more adult flavor profile.
