Dino-licious DIY Lunchables
We're going waaaay back with these DIY lunchables!
Your kiddos might not know what Throwback Thursday is yet, but we're taking on the biggest throwback ever with these Dino-licious DIY Lunchables!
Let's be honest, this yummy lunch recipe is perfect for kids and adults alike. The dino-shaped sandwiches will certainly appeal to little hands, but we don't know anyone who wouldn't love to see these in their lunch box. The decorated dino egg, plus some other healthy options, round out this bento-box-style meal.
In addition to the dinosaur theme, we really love this recipe because it gives you the option to make your favorite Throwback Thursday lunch at home. Many of us grew up eating lunchables at school or on family vacations, and finding out that you can make your own is a fun treat.
Enjoy making these DIY lunchables for your kids, grandkids... or just about anyone!

DIY Lunchables Recipe
Instructions
-
Place broccoli in one compartment.
-
Place hard boiled egg in the center compartment.
-
Place pretzels in the third compartment.
-
Lay down a bed of lettuce.
-
Using a dinosaur cookie cutter, cut 4 pieces of bread. Place a piece of salami and a piece of cheese in each dinosaur. I used a cookie cutter to slice my salami and Swiss cheese so it would match the cookie cutter. Spread mayonnaise and mustard if desired.

This is such a cute idea! It's great for kids, but I would like to pack it for my own lunch too.

I love DIY Lunchables...not only are they fun but they can be customized any way you like...plus, I'm sure we all know there are a lot of finicky eaters out there and in my experience, kids are the most finicky. LOL Holidays could be a really festive time to get the kids involved in making their own lunches too...and with fun shapes and so many gadgets available now, the possibilities are endless. The best part is it's all homemade and full of things they love, so they're more likely to eat everything on their plates!
