Health Bar
Ingredients
- 2 c nut butter (peanut is great)
- 1 3/4 c honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 c cocoa powder
- 2 T malt powder
- 2 1/4 c protein powder
- 3 c uncooked oatmeal
Instructions
Mix peanut butter with honey in microwave for about 1 min. Mix in the powders (cocoa and malt are optional, but recommended). Mix in oatmeal. Press into a pan (9 x 13 inches). Refrigerate, then cut into bars. Store in fridge, wrapped in plastic or waxed paper..

It's always nice to have healthier snacks around. Protein bars are so pricey. I prefer maple syrup as a sweetener to honey. I can not do malt so I added two extra tablespoons of cocoa powder. There are different types of protein out there. I prefer pea protein to whey protein. You could even add cocao nibs or coconut flakes.
