"This 30 minute creamy one pot turkey and rice is filled with flavour and a fantastic way to use up your leftover turkey! Fast, easy, delicious. I am always looking for new ways to use up leftover turkey or chicken. Instead of just having the full turkey dinner over again, use up some of those leftovers in this one pot creamy turkey and rice. It's fast, filling, and full of flavour. The whole family will love it!"

We dont eat turkey very often. It is traditionally a Christmas meat that isnt consumed at any other time of the year. However, I have seen huge cooked turkey drumsticks being sold for an incredibly low price in the super markets all year round. Ive never bought any because, well, I didnt know what to do with them! This recipe looks very tasty and I am going to buy a big drumstick or two and try this out.

When I cook a turkey, I always make a big one so I have leftovers. Sandwiches, pot pie, soup, whatever. One pot dishes are great. I don't always keep mushrooms in the house so I would have to plan for that. I like carrots and peas paired with turkey so I will be subbing the carrots for the corn. Plus, my daughter has problems with corn. A very hearty meal!
