Seriously Good Baked Cabbage Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 head cabbage, sliced not too thick
- 1 onion, diced
- black pepper, to taste
- 3/4 cup chicken stock
- 2 slices bacon, cooked and diced
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Pour chicken stock into a baking dish a couple of centimeters deep. Layer cabbage, onion and bacon. Season with black pepper to taste. Dot with butter.
- Cover with lid or aluminum foil, bake in oven approximately 30 to 40 minutes, or cook in the microwave. Stir halfway through cooking.
Note: If you do not have chicken stock, you can use a powder or cubed stock mixed with water, or just water.

I love cabbage in any way, shape or form. This recipe has everything any cabbage lover like myself needs. I usually just saute it with butter, salt and pepper for a quick vegetable. I think the addition of bacon, onions and chicken stock are going to put this right over the top. Love vegetables, and love fining new ways to prepare them.
