Chicken, Bacon & Banana Kabob
You're probably thinking, chicken? With bacon? With Banana? All on one stick? And you should be, but Chicken, Bacon and Banana Kabobs are a scrumptious, salty and sweet appetizer. You'll shock your guests with this easy party appetizer recipe.
Ingredients
- 8 to 12 chicken thighs, skinned and boned
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
- juice of 1 lemon
- 4 to 6 slices bacon
- 2 bananas
- Kabob skewers (soaked a few hours to prevent burning)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken into large cubes.
- Blend the sugar, Worcestershire and soy sauce and marinate the chicken overnight.
- Slice the bananas into 4 - 6 pieces. Wrap the bacon around the bananas.
- Thread the chicken and bacon wrapped bananas onto the skewers. Brush with the excess marinade and grill under a low grill for 10 - 15 minutes, turning and brushing with marinade occasionally.
- Serve over noodles or rice with a fruity chutney.
