Lemon Garlic Hummus
"Still being new to the hummus making world I’ve come to realize that garlic is pretty much a staple when making it. It’s a huge flavor booster to an otherwise flavorless garbanzo bean or chickpea. What I also discovered today while making this recipe is that lemon juice gives hummus a wonderful bright flavor that is absolutely amazing. This may be common knowledge to veteran hummus makers, but for me, being a newbie, it was a light bulb moment. While the garlic in the recipe lent it’s flavor, the lemon was the star of the show. When the hummus hits your taste buds, the combination of the two make for a very refreshing flavor. This will be made and enjoyed often, it’s too good not to.
