These Texas Cowboy Beans are almost hearty enough to be a meal on their own! If you're looking for a new homemade baked beans recipe, you'll definitely want to give this one a try. It's loaded with ground beef, bacon, and three kinds of beans, along with a variety of ingredients to add flavor. These beans are the perfect side dish to go along with any barbecue main. We love a good southern recipe, and this one is a keeper.

I'm always looking for a great baked bean recipe that doesn't take hours in the oven or the crockpot. I am looking forward to trying this recipe where there's both ground beef and bacon as well as three kinds of beans. It looks delish and I think it will appeal to everyone in my family. I usually do baked beans with navy beans that cook for about five hours in a bean pot in my oven. They taste so good but take so long. That can be a problem in the summer time. Thanks for the great recipe!

I love how colorful this dish is with the mixed varieties of beans. I have a camper that I go camping in in the summer time with my family. It has electricity, but the tiny range / oven that is in it is in disrepair. I think I will try an adaptation of this recipe for my crock pot. Since it is so colorful and has sweet elements in it, it would be a great way to get kids to eat their beans!

Who hasnt seen a cowboy movie where they sit around the fire eating beans? Lol! I really doubt, though, that those meals were as delicious as this one. We had it for dinner last night - it was so tasty and absolutely Comforting, everyone loved it, ate every last bean and we will definitely be having it again.quite soon!

If you are looking for a delicious dish to bring to a potluck this summer, this is a great choice. This recipe has many different kinds of beans in it, so it is texturally interesting. It is also really flavourful, which is nice. It goes really well with bbq foods! I have always wondered how well it would freeze? If anyone tries to freeze it, please let me know how it works. It would be awesome to make a double batch to be able to have ready to heat up for surprise guests in the summer! This recipe is definitely a keeper.
