Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 3/4 c dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion finlly chpped
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

Mix all ingredients. Form into 1 inch meat balls. Place on ungreased baking pans. Bake in 350 oven until browned--about 20 minutes. Remove from pans and reserve 3 T of pan drippings for sauce. SAUCE 3 T pan drippings from meatballs 3 T flour 3/4 C water 1 c half and half 1 tsp instant bullion granuals 1/2 tsp salt snipped parsely Stir flour into pan drippings in a skillet until smooth and bubbly. Add water slowly until smooth. Add all but parsely and simmer until thick (about 2 minutes). Pour sauce over meatballs and sprinkle with parsely. Serve with noodles.
