I love flank steak, but being Italian, I'm more accustomed to making is as braciole in tomato sauce. It has to cook for hours in the sauce or it can be tough. The picture of this cooked, marinated flank steak looks so good that I can't wait to try it. Apparently the marinating tenderizes the meat, and I'm glad the alternate broiler cooking directions were given. I don't eat red meat that often, but the next time I want a steak this the recipe I'm making.
