Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake
If you consider yourself a chocoholic, we've got just the recipe for you. Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake is made with chocolate chips, chocolate Cream of Wheat, and cocoa powder. That's three ways they get chocolate in your coffee cake recipe. And the best part is that you can have it for breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder, for dusting the pan
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup (2-sticks) butter softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 packets chocolate Cream of Wheat, uncooked
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon instant espresso powder
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Well coat a Bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray, making sure sides are well coated. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder and shake out excess.

Cream sugar, butter and eggs in a mixing bowl with electric mixer at medium speed. Add sour cream and blend well.

Add flour, Chocolate Cream of Wheat, baking powder, baking soda and espresso powder. Mix well with electric mixer. Stir in chocolate chips.

Bake for 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes. Place serving plate over Bundt pan and turn pan over carefully onto plate; remove pan. Serve cake warm or cool.
