This looks great and I know my husband would love this, but I dont own an Instant Pot and have no plans to buy one. I could make the oatmeal the regular way and add the other ingredients, but I doubt it would be the same. Is there a way to make this without the Instant Pot that you would recommend?

What exactly is an instant pot? I keep seeing recipes pop up all over the place for this appliance, but I do not know anyone that has one. Is it kind of like a pressure cooker? I'm wondering if I should buy one to add to my collection of kitchen appliances. For now I am going to try to adapt this recipe for my slow cooker, since I love homemade oatmeal.

Instant Pot is a brand of pressure cooker. They are supposed to be great. We reviewed one on our sister site if you're interested: https://www.allfreeslowcookerrecipes.com/Food-Product-Reviews/Instant-Pot-Review
