Banana Bread Donuts
Banana bread is a wonderful treat that has dozens of variations, but the best one might just be these Banana Bread Donuts. This baked donut recipe takes a homemade banana bread recipe, puts it in a donut pan, and then smothers each one in a thick, rich chocolate glaze. These delicious donuts will taste like they came straight from your local bakery. The mashed bananas keep the bread moist and the glaze is simply divine. Add chocolate sprinkles to the top for a pretty finish.

I had never considered making banana bread as donuts before. The baked donut idea is something new to me since I previously would crack out the deep fryer if I wanted donuts and didn't want to make a trip to the store or a donut establishment. I usually make banana bread with some chopped walnuts mixed into the batter, and I'd add those to this recipe. A yummy idea I need to try out soon.

These look amazing! I really love how the recipe does not call for a lot of sugar since the bananas will be so sweet! Make sure the bananas have brown spots all over them so they are extra ripe and soft! I think the best part of this recipe is the glaze. I always struggle with making glazes. They are never the right consistency but this seems like a really good chocolate glaze recipe!

These look fantastic. Banana bread probably makes fabulous baked donuts, and the chocolate frosting... well, sign me up.

I love banana bread and I love doughnuts. This seems like the perfect combination.
