Now, 70 years later, her son King Charles is about to be crowned King of England. To celebrate this historic occasion, the royal family has released a new dish: Coronation Quiche!

    This delicious quiche recipe features a crisp, light pastry and the delicate flavors of spinach, tarragon, and broad beans. The perfect dish to serve at breakfast or lunch, everyone will feel like celebrating when they have a slice of this!

    Ingredients

    • Pastry
    • 125 grams plain flour/all-purpose flour
    • pinch of salt
    • 25 grams cold butter, diced
    • 25 grams lard
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • OR 1 250g block of ready-made shortcrust pastry
    • Filling
    • 125 milliliters milk
    • 175 milliliters double cream
    • 2 medium eggs
    • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh tarragon
    • salt and pepper, to taste
    • 100 grams grated cheddar cheese
    • 180 grams cooked spinach, lightly chopped
    • 60 grams cooked broad beans or soya beans
