I've never been much of a French toast eater...but this recipe sounds so yummy I just may have to give it a try. Letting it sit overnight would probably be the best so that everything will incorporate properly. Personally, I love sausage on raisin bread as a breakfast sandwich with an egg...so I'm thinking some crumbled sausage would be delicious in this casserole and it'll make it more filling as well.

It took a lot longer to cook and after 70 minutes was still very gooey inside. Is this how it is suppose to be??
