Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk

In a medium mixing bowl whisk the flour, baking powder and salt.

Add the butter and rub into the flour mixture.

Add in the pepper, chives and thyme and mix well.

Whisk the egg in a small bowl then add to the flour mixture.

Add just enough milk to make a sticky dough.

Using a small cookie scoop drop the dough into simmering stew, soup or broth.

Cover the pot and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
