This recipe is a beautiful dessert that makes a light, fluffy spring/summer treat for a small family. Lemon desserts are so yummy and make you feel like you are being treated with something other than an ordinary chocolate dessert. I like lemon bars, so I am sure this will be a hit.

Mmmm, I love lemon desserts! This is nice and creamy, with just the right amount of lemon. I wonder if anyone has tried this with any other citrus fruits. If you have, I would love to read about how it turned out. I was thinking orange might be nice, or maybe even grapefruit.

This magic cake seems to be finicky as it turned out badly for some and excellent for others. Oven temperatures can affect the results as can the type of pan-metal or glass and if you use parchment paper. Maybe even altitude is a factor for some. But it's tasty and comes in several flavors besides lemon-vanilla, chocolate, butterscotch. The layers can be subtle, but the taste is still good. If you decide to try it, follow the directions exactly.
