Not only is this Make-Ahead Italian Cream Cake simple to prepare and easy to make in advance, it's also incredibly delicious. Make this yummy Italian-inspired dessert recipe a day or two ahead of time, pop it in the freezer and then take it out when you need it. Then all you need to do is frost and serve. There's something to be said for the simplicity of just the frosting on the top, but I think I'd increase the amount of ingredients slightly to make enough to do the sides as well. I think I'd also sprinkle some additional chopped pecans on the frosting on the top. It's a great and very delicious cake that's always been a hit.

I make an Italian cream cake but I ice the sides too and it looks a lot prettier then this cake! It's my favorite cake
