I must say that this pecan pie cake sounds delicious. I wonder if I could speed it up by using a cake mix instead of making the cake from scratch. I know that it would probably only make 2 layers, but then the yummy filling would be twice as thick. What do you think?

I can't wait to try this recipe! I'm really the only one in my family that likes pecan pie so we normally don't have it around. Or if we do, then I'm eating the whole thing, which can be good and bad! But this variation seems like more of a crowd-pleaser so I'll definitely be giving it a try.
