This sounds like a tropical delight! I've never thought of mixing pineapple into a strawberry cake. I don't think I've ever purchased a strawberry cake mix. Are they available year round?

The pineapple kind of pushed the flavor in a direction where I didn't like it to be so I improvised and added more coconut to balance the bitterness of pineapple.
