We grow our own cabbage (and quite a number of other veggies too) so we are always interested in new ideas for preparing cabbage. It is really good with the tomato flavors and we added chili because we both love that taste. Next time we have bolognese we might make extra so that we can include it in this dish.

If you use lean ground beef for this recipe, or even ground chicken or turkey for that matter, this really is a healthy one pot dish! Cabbage is one of the most inexpensive vegetables that you can buy per pound, so it is easy on the budget and the waistline! I have a feeling I will be making this dish quite often this fall!

How much do I love "one pot" recipes. Add to that one of my favorite ingredients, cabbage, and you have a winner. This One-Pot Cabbage Casserole is so easy to prepare, and so full of rich flavors you really can't go wrong. Your family will love it when you put a big dish of tis hardy cabbage casserole in front of them for dinner tonight.

One pot and 30 minutes cooking time. How can you go wrong with that? I like cabbage but most eat it in coleslaw. I'm not used to cooking it but I am going to try this. I once ate cooked cabbage my friend added to her curry which I really loved. I think I will take the tip of adding it half way through the cooking time as I do prefer things to be crunchy.

Cabbage is something that I came to love just a few years ago but now I really can not get enough of it. We used a little chopped fresh garlic and chili and also only added the cabbage about half way through the cooking time because we prefer it slightly crunchy. It was really tasty the rice was very good and all of us will happily have it again.

This would be really great to make when you have fresh cabbage and tomatoes out in the garden. I like this recipe since you can make it all in one pot and on top the stove. I could eat cabbage all the time. It is great to find new and easy ways to fix it.
